Brian Jensen insists the Clarets squad will head to the Capital buoyed by belief as they prepare for Tuesday evening's game at Fulham.

Saturday's victory over West Ham was just the tonic for Brian Laws' side who had been without a win in 12 Premier League games.

And the Beast is confident that this result can be the start of a revival in form as Burnley go in search of their first away win of the season at Craven Cottage.

"The most important thing was we got the three points, but we probably should have killed the game off earlier," admitted Jensen.

"When West Ham got the goal we were always going to be under pressure, but we got away with it a bit of luck which we haven't had much of this season.

"It was a relief to get a win which was a long time coming and we were very pleased. Another couple of wins will be easier said than done, but those would push us further away from the relegation zone and that's what we are looking for.

"We are back in the middle pack again which has given us a boost and hopefully we can bring that into the game on Tuesday.

"Fulham have done brilliantly, I personally think that when we played against them at the Turf earlier in the season we were probably the fortunate ones to get a 1-1 draw. It was a very good point because they are a great side.

"It will be a really tough game, but confidence has been boosted with the win on Saturday and hopefully we'll get something there."

One of Brian Laws' main objectives has been to make the team more solid at the back, whilst still embracing the free-flowing football which has brought them so much success in recent times.

And the Clarets' stopper believes this organised approach will serve the team well as they battle to retain their Premier League status in a tightly contested bottom-half of the table.

"We are trying to be more organised now and are adapting to the new things which the gaffer has introduced, so hopefully we can get a good result on Tuesday," added Jensen.

"We know every single game is difficult and we have to give 100 percent every time.

"We are going to Fulham to win, like we have done with every single game away. We just need to be a little bit tactical and more organised so hopefully that will be pay off.

"You have to find a balance between playing attractive football and being organised, we are slowly getting there.

"Everything can change quickly, people say the 35 point mark should be enough, but only time will tell and hopefully at the end of the season we'll have enough points on the board.

"Everybody is fighting to get points so it will be tough, but we've got a chance.

"The new faces will improve us and it's nice to get people in to help us get more points on the board to push us up further.

"Every day I work hard, so regardless of who comes in I just try to do my best.

"Hopefully I've done my bit and I will continue to keep my place. Nicky Weaver is a good lad and I've been used to competition since I've been here. That's how it should be."
