Laws' Joy As Keeper Battle Hots Up
Brian Laws has revealed his delight at having two strong contenders for the goalkeeping jersey at Turf Moor.
The Burnley manager today revealed he expects current incumbent Brian Jensen to start the season between the posts.
But Laws is adamant that Grant will prove tough competition for the Dane - and he believes that will bring out the best in both stoppers!
He said: "We're delighted to get Lee to the football club for two reasons.

Reunited: Grant with former Owls management team Billy Mercer, Russ Wilcox and Brian Laws
"One, he is a quality goalkeeper and secondly we now have two in the camp and for the Championship, to have two really strong contenders fighting for the number one jersey shows we are heading the right direction as a club.
"Diego (Penny) is a great guy, but he is just not at the level we want him to be.
"That's not his fault, that's just the standards we are looking for and Lee certainly hits that mark.
"Brian (Jensen) is going to have some competition next season and I'm sure he'll relish that.
"He has obviously been here a long time and I am expecting him to start the season.
"It's his shirt to lose, but it's all about competition and we have that now.
"Brian will pull out all the stops to be at number one, so it's a win -win situation for me.
"As a manager I know I am going to have a good goalkeeper who is tremendous between the posts and whoever that is knows he is going to be looking over his shoulder."

Laws, who has previously worked with Grant at Sheffield Wednesday, will get a first chance to watch his new signing in action in tomorrow's behind-closed doors friendly with Accrington Stanley.
And he explained that he discussed the goalkeeping situation fully with Grant before the 27-year-old happily signed his three-year deal at Turf Moor.
"Lee knows the score and he's very confident in his own ability," said Laws.
"The difference between them is that Lee has his best years ahead of him and therefore he has a good base to work with.
"I've worked with him, I know what he's about and I know what he can bring to the team.
"He is very agile, very quick and is probably as fit as any outfield player we currently have at the football club.
"He looks after himself tremendously well.
"We are hoping that will sharpen us up, and help with the defence.
"Brian is at an age now here, after his current contract he may be looking at coaching, so I just hope he finishes off in good style and if he retained the number one spot I will be just as happy for Brian as I would be for Lee."
