Burnley signed Peruvian international goalkeeper Diego Penny in June 2008 after being granted a work permit on appeal.
However, he has been limited to just a handful of appearances during his time at Turf Moor where he has operated largely as back-up to Brian Jensen.
Penny's only league start for the Clarets came on the opening day of the 2008/09 season, although he also started a Carling Cup tie at Hartlepool in August, 2009.
His only appearance in the Premier League came as a substitute against Wigan Athletic in October after Jensen was injured.
The 6ft 5in keeper - full-name Diego Alonso Penny Valdez - was previously captain of club side Coronel Bolognesi, who play in Peru's Primera Division.
Penny made over 200 club appearances for Bolognesi, who have twice lifted the Copa Peru and also won the 2007 Primera Division Clausura, in turn qualifying for the 2008 Copa Libertadores.
